Etching is the process of using strong acid to cut into the unprotected parts of a metal surface to create a design in the metal.

Diskey is able to offer reproduction of even the most complex artwork onto the surface of metal. Only Lead and Mercury free, virgin sheet metal stock are used for the etched plaques we offer.

Ordering an etched plaque from Diskey Sign Company is very easy. Simply select the type of material, the type of border/edge, do you want the copy/images to be raised or recessed, lastly what size do you want your etched plaque. That's it, it is that easy! Stud Mount (Blind Mount) All etched plaques 1/4" thick and thicker are drilled and tapped.	Stud Boss Mount (Blind Mount) Stud bosses can be welded to the backs of 1/16", 1/8" & 3/16" thick plaques.	Screw Mount Holes are drilled through the surface of the plaque. Specify screw size and if you need the holes to be countersunk. 1/16" thick plaques cannot be counter sunk and will include round head screws.
